A Scranton native (born and raised), Matt enjoys sharing his love for NEPA with real estate buyers and sellers in the region. He returned to his hometown after a professional football career in the NFL quarterbacking for the Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Kansas City Chiefs. Matt became a household name as the quarterback for Penn State from 2010 to 2012, where he earned a BA in Broadcast Journalism. In addition to his focus on real estate, Matt is a radio host for SiriusXM.

Matt is a consummate professional on and off the field. He credits being a professional athlete with teaching him how important a team atmosphere is and how crucial it is to work together, communicate well and treat everyone with respect. Matt is detail-oriented and maintains an open line of communication with his clients, including being available evenings and weekends. Matt’s favorite part of the business is meeting new people, and his clients have described him as being honest, hardworking, dedicated, and reliable.  

Matt is committed to supporting charitable causes in the Lackawanna County region through The Matt McGloin Fund, which he established in 2016. He focuses on causes supporting the health and well-being of children and youth, including annual scholarships for West Scranton High School graduates. To date, The Matt McGloin Fund has donated over $150,000 to local philanthropic causes in Scranton and the Greater Scranton Area.

Matt and his wife, Bailey, live in Waverly with their two boys and their Labrador Retriever, Rudy. Matt and Bailey decided to live and raise their family here because they believe there is no other place like NEPA and that “everything you need to succeed in life is right here.” They appreciate and value the people who make the community so special and vibrant, and enjoy the incredible restaurants, bars, shops, and other venues.
