December is here and you know what that means– it’s time for some Holiday Cheer! Lucky for you, NEPA has no shortage of jolly and festive events this holiday season. There is nothing better to get you in the holiday spirit than the sparkle, twinkle, and nostalgia of Christmas lights and displays. Read on for a list of must-see events in the area this holiday season!
Berwick Christmas Boulevard
835 E. 11th Street, Berwick
Every evening from now until December 31st from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Come walk the Boulevard in downtown Berwick. There will be plenty of holiday cheer– be sure not to miss it!
Festival of Lights at Stone Hedge Golf Course
55 Stonehedge Dr., Tunkhannock
Hours are Sunday – Thursday 5PM-9PM and Friday and Saturday 5PM-10PM – A spectacular drive-through light display that has a little something for everyone! Admission is $30 per vehicle Monday-Thursday and $35 Friday-Sunday.

Hawley Winterfest
Downtown Hawley
From Friday December 9th through Sunday December 11th, start the holiday season off right with Hawley Winterfest. There will be a parade through the town, gingerbread house building, gingerbread people decorating, live music at local churches, a live nativity play, an ugly sweater contest, and so much more! Take a Christmas Tree Express Train Ride provided by Stourbridge Line. You can purchase tickets here. Many local businesses will be open and providing baked goods and hot drinks.
Holiday Light Spectacular in Nay Aug Park
500 Arthur Avenue, Scranton
Every day from now until January 2nd at 5PM to 9PM – Admittance is free, but donations are accepted. The Holiday Light Spectacular is a drive-through light show in the park. Over 100 light displays! Cars begin at the park entrance on Mulberry Street.
Joy Through the Grove Tickets
391 Knoebels Parkway, Elysburg
Hours are 5:30 PM-9:00 PM every night from now until December 31 (closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Featuring over 15 miles of string lights and 400 light up pieces, this drive through display is sure to make a lasting impression. The route begins by the Impulse Roller Coaster, and continues down the park’s main boulevard, and then stretches through most of the campground.
Light the Night at Sugarloaf at Sugarloaf Golf Club
18 Golf Course Road, Sugarloaf
Open Thursdays-Sundays from 5PM to 10PM. One of the largest walk-through light displays in NEPA, this year the Sugarloaf Golf Club is featuring a “Mega Tree” with over 14,000 lights, which makes it one of the largest of its kind in the world! You can enjoy roasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate around the fire pits and there is even more for the kids to do! Tickets are $12 per adult, $8 for children ages 2-14, and children under 2 are free and additional free parking!

Peckville Christmas House
1130 Marion Street, Peckville Monday – Thursday 5PM-9PM and Friday-Sunday 5PM-10PM – This display has been bringing joy to the community for years and runs on donations and Christmas spirit. You can walk through the display, or drive around the block to see this amazing display. There is no fee for entry, but 2 donation bins are located on the property, and all donations are put toward the cost of maintaining the display.
Winterfest 2022 at Wallenpaupack Brewing Company
73 Welwood Avenue, Hawley
Friday, December 9th 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM and Saturday, December 10th 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Sunday, December 11th 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM – Featuring live music, food and beer specials, and then brunch and a cookie eating contest on Sunday! The WBC has holiday gift baskets (curated by them or create your own, starting at only $25), growlers, mixed cases, and tons of other great gifts for the beer lover(s) in your life and are available throughout the holiday season.
