When looking to buy and sell a home, you may be wondering how to make the process work as seamlessly as possible. One of your pressing questions may be on whether it's possible to make an offer prior to selling your current home? Deborah Roccograndi and Peter DeMarco go over the details in our latest installment of Ask the Experts.
Can I make an offer before selling my current home?
Working to sell your home in a time frame in which you'll be looking to move into your new home is something Lewith & Freeman agents are well versed in. Our agents work with many buyers as well as sellers, so they can both help you find a new home while working to show and sell yours to another buyer.
Working with one of our agents will help you to reach your real estate goals while helping you through each step of the process.
What is a contingency offer?
A contingency offer is one where an offer on a home is made an accepted, but conditional upon terms that the buyer and seller agree upon. Typically, these contingency offers are contingent upon appraisal, home inspection, or approval of a mortgage. Working with an agent will ensure that all paperwork is correct and drawn up for a contingency offer.
