Wine cork crafts are really hot on Pinterest right now, and many people have begun curating their own collection of corks.
But what tools will you need to complete one of these projects? An X-Acto Knife and hot glue gun will be needed for most, and sandpaper can come in handy when working with rough corks.

1) Wine Cork Bathmat

If you have an abundance of corks lying around, this might be the right project for you. Simply cut them in half and arrange them on a nonslip mat, or a shelf liner, and adhere them with a hot glue gun.
You’ll want the corks to be as close to the same size as possible for this one. Use sandpaper to smooth out any jagged ends.
2) Hot Pads/Trivets

Upgrade your hot pads with wine corks! These can be made as big or small as you’d like. Just determine your shape and hot glue them together. Easy-peasy.
If you want, you can add a border of solid wood for a more refined look, or you can go without it for more of a rustic vibe.
3) Name Card Holders
Don't forget to say "wine do."
Slice them half way through to hold name cards and put two little feet on the bottom with your trusty glue gun. These will keep the holders from rolling over. You can also use flat thumb tacks to keep them steady.
No tacks lying around? Did you run out of glue sticks? No problem! Just cut the corks in half, then cut a slit through the rounded side for the name card. Ta-da!
4) Bulletin Boards
If you really love wine, this is hardly tacky.
These look best in frames, big or small. You don’t even have to take the glass out! Just use your glue gun to arrange the corks within the frame. Cut them in half if you’d like, or use whole corks.

5) Coasters

6) Magnets
These are very easy and the perfect complement to your wine themed kitchen. Just cut the corks in half and hot glue a magnet strip or circle to the flat side. They’re stylish and look awfully classy!
