Meet Dan Gunther

Based in Honesdale and licensed in both Pennsylvania (since 2019) and Louisiana (since 2017), Dan helps buyers and sellers navigate a wide range of markets; from the charm of the Northern Poconos to the vibrant culture and historic neighborhoods of South Louisiana.

Dan first discovered Honesdale in 1993 and quickly developed a deep connection to the region. In 2017, he and his husband purchased and restored a fixer-upper just blocks from Main Street, giving Dan firsthand insight into both the character of historic homes and the appeal of small-town Pennsylvania living. His personal experience renovating and investing in property allows him to connect naturally with buyers, sellers, and those relocating to the area.

Growing up in a military family and living in multiple states gave Dan an early appreciation for people from all walks of life; an experience that continues to shape his client-focused approach today. His studies in Literature and Education at The University of Southern Mississippi and Louisiana State University strengthened his communication, listening, and organizational skills, all of which play a vital role in helping clients feel informed and confident throughout the real estate process.

Before transitioning into real estate, Dan spent eight years as a public school educator and later worked for over a decade as a confidential secretary and property manager, overseeing distinctive properties in locations ranging from New Orleans and Lake Charles to Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and Sun Valley, Idaho. These experiences sharpened his attention to detail, professionalism, and appreciation for both historic homes and luxury properties.
